Sugar free keto friendly avocado brownie
June 2, 2018
Do you recognize sugar cravings and a hunger for chocolate? Well, I do! These avocado brownies are perfect for those times as they are sugar free, but still sweet and healthy!
The coming two weeks I’m going to do a keto challenge. Meaning I’m not eating sugar, less carbs and more fat. I am curious to find out what this is going to do for my body and whether it fits me or not, but lets find out!
This healthy snack will hopefully guide me through the process, haha. You can add any sweetener you like or even leave it out. I added some pecan nuts too, as this gives the brownie some extra crunch! P.S. The raw dough is sooo good too!
Step by step guide
– 50 gr cacao powder
– 100 gr sugar free chocolate (Keto Cacao)
– 2 avocado’s
– 2 eggs
– Vanilla extract
– 1 teaspoon backing powder
– Pecan nuts
– Pinch of salt
Cut and peel the avocado and mix it in a bowl together with the sweetener of your choice.
Using a hand mixer, mix the avocado sweetener mix with the 2 eggs and mix until smooth..
Grab a pan, boil some water and melt the 2 chocolate bars au bain marie.
Add the 50 gr of cacao powder to the avocado mixture, than add the melted chocolate. When everything is mixed evenly, add the nuts, a little bit of salt and the backing powder and mix again.
Scoop the brownie mixture into an oven proof bowl and even out. Place some left over pecan nuts on top to decorate and bake for 20 minutes.
Take the brownie out of the oven and let it cool down entirely before eating. Cover it with foil to avoid it getting dry.
