A red midi skirt in Budapest
Here we are, my first outfit post! I thought we’d start with a good one, namely what I wore during my holiday in Budapest with my boyfriend, Jelle. I love combining edgy styles like a leather jacket and a band-shirt with a more feminine silhouet like a pleated midi-length skirt in a bright color (or not, navy blue would look amazing too for an edgier look). Top it off with a practical yet cool bag and worn-down All Stars that you have owned for years and you have the perfect casual look for strolling around a foreign city. In my opinion at least.
''Thanks to the thick fabric, this skirt can be worn all year round''
Anyway, I love this skirt because the fabric is a bit thicker than usual, so I can wear it during the whole year, even when it gets colder outside. The band-shirt is of course trending this summer, however I prefer to only wear shirts of bands that I actually know and like. How often have you seen a young girl wearing a metal band shirt and have you thought to yourself ‘’I wonder if she listens to it?’’ That’s totally fine of course, I, however, am somewhat of a metalhead and therefore a bit critical of the band shirts I wear. Led Zeppelin is one of my favorite and therefore I couldn’t leave it hanging, I just had to have it. ;)
Other than with a band-tee, you can also pair your skirt with a strappy black top and black heels to transform it into the perfect outfit for a night out. Wear it with your leather jacket and a cool clutch and you’re good to go!
