Rocking a red suit in a minimalist casual way
November 30, 2017
Red is huge! And what better way to style red than go all out in a bold red suit? Match with minimalist pieces to avoid looking like Santa Claus and wear it casually with sneaker!
I have been writing a lot about red as a trend, I know, but I can’t help myself. There’s something about this bright vivid colour that makes me happy just by looking at it.
Wearing red can be tricky though, because you don’t want to end up looking like Santa Claus (yes, my boyfriend compared me to Santa Claus because I was wearing my red pants into my woolen slippers).
How to wear
The key is to think about what you want to wear with your red pieces. An all red ensemble, like mine, is great! But make sure you pair it with everything red (very on trend) or match it with relatively basic items and colours like black and white to avoid having to much going on.
Have I told you already that I love minimalist outfits? Well, here you go! While other women might look great in over the top looks with bold statement pieces like big earrings, I prefer to keep my outfits sharp and simple. I combine bold colours with classic and clean pieces, like my gorgeous watch from Skagen and simple earrings. This look would have no doubt looked great with heels too, but I like to keep things casual by wearing my favourite sneakers.
